It's a bird... It's a plane... It's an alien ship!
Thousands of people have been witness to what appears to be the latest case of mass sighting of a UFO above the skies of Hong Kong, during the ongoing pro-democracy protests.
Thousands of citizens - including the elderly and the young - took to streets for the protests, which were held in opposition to China's announcement that it will choose the candidates for the upcoming 2017 elections,
While the demonstrations were going on, a brightly lit object appeared in the sky travelling in an incredible speed, halted shortly (perhaps atop one of the buildings) and then took off vertically.
The UFO was caught by one of BBC News' cameras.
The unusual activity in the skies during the protest was pointed out by a viewer in Scotland, who recorded the BBC broadcast and sent the footage to local news outlet the Hamilton Advertiser, reports OpenMinds.TV.
In the video, the unidentified brightly lit object can be seen entering the frame from the left side. It can then be seen descending on a building before finally shooting upwards at an incredible speed.
"I don't think it's too far-fetched to believe it is a drone. Maybe one that's closer to the camera than we think," Huffington Post quoted Ben Hansen, former lead investigator of the Syfy Channel's "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" TV series, as saying.
"The lighting set-up is a bit strange, but it could look like one solid light because of the distance. When these things want to go straight up, they can cruise really fast. The way it sort of wobbled or floated as it settled by the building makes me think it could be a drone," he added.
While there have been mass sightings of similar UFOs during protests and public gatherings previously as well, they later turned out to be drones sent by television channels for coverage. But what makes this particular sighting interesting is the UFO's unmatched speed.
Back in August, mass sighting of a UFO was reported in Houston, Texas when hundreds of people came forward to report a circle of lights hovering above the city.
Witnesses immediately took to Twitter to post pictures and videos of the strange sighting, which was widely discussed on social media platforms.
