Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest passenger car maker, will unveil its much-awaited Wagon R Stingray on Wednesday.

The Wagon R Stingray, the images of which were leaked online recently, is now featured on Maruti's official website and the company has also released a teaser. Snapshots of the vehicle at dealerships have also hit the internet.

Taking note of the images, the soon-to-be-launched vehicle is expected to sport an aggressive front fascia with a redesigned front grille, projector headlamps, larger air dam and fog lamp clusters along with a new set of alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the vehicle will pack the same 1.0L K-Series petrol engine which churns out a power of 68 PS and 90 Nm torque and comes paired with five-speed manual transmission. Other expected features include two front airbags, ABS, steering mounted audio controls, projector headlights and an electrically adjustable rear-view mirror.

Wagon R Stingray will come in three variants - LXi, VXi and VXi. The vehcile is expected to fall in the ₹4 lakh - ₹5 lakh price range, around ₹50,000 more than the current Wagon R model,  

With India's auto market witnessing a slowdown, car makers are offering various discounts and offers to customers on purchase of their vehicles. The launch of Wagon R Stingray is seen as Maruti's attempt to defy the sales decline.
