It looks like Suzuki's popular Swift Sports is making its way into the Indian market. Swift Sports, the sporty performance oriented version of Swift has been spotted testing in India, giving us the clue that the company may launch the hot hatchback in the country soon.

Thanks to the folks at GaadiWaadi for the latest spy shots of Swift Sports. Maruti, which premiered Swift Sports at Delhi Auto Expo 2014, is now seen testing the car at the automaker's Manesar plant.

In the latest photos, we can see the car with LED-DRLs and if you take a closer look, also can see a larger air-dam.

Expected to make its India debut during this festive season, possibly in October, the Swift Sports likely to get features like head-lamps with washers, automatic headlights, power-folding wing mirrors, sports seats, stainless steel sport pedals and Bluetooth-compatible music system.

On the safety front, the car is likely to come fitted with ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake force distribution), ESP (electornic stability programme), dual front, electronically adjustable side-view mirrors, dual airbags in the front, curtain airbags and a knee airbag for the driver.

In the international markets, Suzuki Swift Sport is sold in three-door and five-door body style. In India, the car maker is likely to bring five-door version of Swift Sport.

We don't know yet the power plant options for India-specific Swift Sports, but chances are that the car would get the same 1.6-litre 4-cylinder motor that we saw at Delhi Auto Expo.

The 1.6-litre 4-cylinder motor of Swift Sports can churn out a power of 100PS at 6,900rpm and a peak torque of 160nm at 4,400rpm. The vehicle can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 8.7 seconds and can attain a top speed of 193kmph.

Maruti is also expected to launch its Swift facelift in India in October. The new Swift facelift will carry over the same tried and tested 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engines and is expected to get fresh alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs, new front fascia with reworked grille, headlights and front bumper.
