Maruti Suzuki Celerio Diesel: Full Specifications, Price, Feature, Mileage and Everything You Must Know [PHOTOS]

Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker on Wednesday (3 June), launched its new Celerio diesel in India at a starting price of ₹ 4.65 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The Celerio diesel also marked the launch of Suzuki's new lightweight 2-cylinder 0.8L E08A diesel engine. Powered by 793cc, 2-cylinder diesel units, the new Maruti Celerio diesel promises a mileage of 27.62kmpl, making it the country's most fuel efficient car. Suzuki's self-developed 793cc; 2-cylinder diesel mill has the capacity to pump out 47bhp and 125Nm of peak torque.

Interestingly, the torque figure of new Celerio diesel engine is higher than the Maruti Swift's engine, which is powered by Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine. Weighing 89kg, the new diesel engine is also the lightest engine available in the country.

To be available in six colour choices -- Sunshine Grey, Blazing Red, Cerulean Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Silky Silver, and Glistening Grey -- Celerio diesel measures 3600 mm in length, 1420 mm in width and 1560 mm in height. Celerio diesel has a wheelbase of 2425 mm and will be offered in four variants -- LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+.

The Celerio diesel features dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Steering mounted audio controls, Electrically adjustable outside rear-view mirror (ORVM), Rear Wiper & Defogger, alloy wheels, Day night IVRM, driver seat height adjuster, Audio with Radio, CD, USB, AUX-in, Bluetooth & CD and key less entry.
