A fresh batch of spy shots of Maruti Suzuki's upcoming SX4 S-Cross has emerged online, this time almost confirming the name of India-bound crossover as S-Cross.

The folks at Shifting Gears have managed to capture images of the Maruti S-Cross, which has landed in Malaysia for unveiling at the upcoming IIFA Awards ceremony. Seen in the pictures is a blue-shaded Maruti crossover wearing S-Cross and the 1.6 badging.
The images also reveal the two-slat front-grille of S-Cross, projector headlamps and Daytime Running LEDs, 16-inch alloy wheels, scuff plates and black-cladding.
Maruti will be showcasing its new S-Cross, which is also known as Across, at the at the IIFA Awards event on 7 June in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Under the hood, Maruti's S-Cross aka Across is likely to include 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines. The 1.6-litre diesel engine will have the capacity to churn out a power of 118bhp with a peak torque of 32kgm and the transmission is likely to come from a six-speed manual gearbox.
While the 1.3 diesel mill of S-Cross is likely to deliver a fuel efficiency of 23 kmpl, the 1.6 engine is rumoured to give a return of 20kmpl.
The S-cross is likely to have multi-function steering wheel, SmartPlay infotainment and keyless entry.
At a rumoured price of around ₹8 lakh, the Maruti S-Cross will take on the likes of Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terranoin India.
The model is expected to make its India debut in July.
