Rani Mukherji's Mardaani 3 has done decent collection at the Indian box office in the first weekend. The movie has shattered all business records of its previous installment in the domestic market.
Having decent advance booking, the movie opened to a good response and went on to show a decent jump in its collection on Saturday and Sunday. Overall, the movie witnessed a good amount of occupancy in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Bangalore when compared to other cities.
Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Mardaani3 puts up a healthy score in its opening weekend... The film witnessed an upward trend on Saturday as well as Sunday. The encouraging performance of this female-led film gives its makers the much-needed confidence to take the franchise forward."
Mardaani 3 has collected Rs 17.25 crore net at the Indian box office in the first weekend. Taran Adarsh tweeted, "The mass circuits were dominated by #Border2, which restricted its growth there, but major centres like #Mumbai, #Delhi, #Pune, and #Bengaluru reported good occupancy. #Mardaani3 [Week 1] Fri 4 cr, Sat 6 cr, Sun 7.25 cr. Total: ₹ 17.25 cr."

The Rani Mukherji starrer needs to hold well on weekdays to break even. Word of mouth is expected to help it fare better Monday onwards. Taran added, "The crucial test begins on Monday—how well it holds will be key... The film needs to maintain collections at Friday levels [or thereabouts] to stay on a steady course."
Mardaani 3 is an action thriller film written and directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The third installment in the Mardaani film series stars Rani Mukerji in the lead role, alongside Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad.
