Sameera Saneesh has been named in the Limca Book of Records for designing costumes for most number of Malayalam films in a short span of time.

The 31-year-old began her career as a costume designer with Aijaz Khan's debut Bollywood feature film, "The White Elephant" (2008), set in Kerala.

She was recognised for her work after the release of Mammootty starrer "Daddy Cool" in August 2009 and in a span of five years, she worked in more than 52 films, including the hit films, "Ustad Hotel", "Spirit", "Pranayam", "Aagathan", "Pranchiyettan and The Saint", "Malarvaadi Arts Club", "Salt N' Pepper" and "Chappa Kurishu", among others.

The Limca Book of Records team has considered Sameera's work till Manju Warrier's comeback film "How Old Are You" released on 14 May 2014.

She has also worked as a designer in the latest films "100 Days of Love", "Oru Vadakkan Selfie" and in the upcoming films, "Bhaskar the Rascal", "Premam" and "Pathemari".

Meanwhile, director Aashiq Abu has congratulated Sameera for her achievement.
