"Limitless" season 1 returns after its winter/midseason break on 5 January, 2016. The CBS' crime drama went on a break after airing episode 11, "This is Your Brian on Drugs", on 15 December. Now, it's all set to air the midseason premiere with episode 12, "The Assassination of Eddie Morra". And, fans have ample reasons to rejoice as the episode's title, synopsis and photos, all confirm that Bradley Copper will be back as Senator Edward Morra.

There couldn't have been a better day or episode than this to bring back Bradley Copper, who celebrates his 41st birthday on 5 January, on "Limitless" for the midseason premiere.
Last time, before the show went on a break, we saw how Casey Rooks and his team try to steal MZT pills for themselves; he gets high and low (when he unfortunately dies), in episode 11, titled "This is Your Brian on Drugs". This triggers an internal investigation. And at the end of the episode, Agent Spelman Boyle finds loose NZT pill below his desk at the CJC office.
Now, in episode 12, we will see Senator Edward Morra, who will be running for presidency, finds his life in danger. Not only is his life threatened by some assassin, he is also worried that his NZT connections may get exposed.
Though the synopsis doesn't reveal a lot, the promo of "The Assassination of Eddie Morra" shows that an assassin tries to kill Morra, but is unsuccessful. The clip also teases that Morra's man Sands reaches out to Brian to track down the assassin and kill her, but Brian is seen responding to someone saying that he will not kill anyone.
Plot synopsis of "The Assassination of Eddie Morra" reads: "When an assassin makes an attempt on Senator Edward Morra's life, Brian is ordered to sabotage the FBI's investigation into it in order to prevent exposing the Senator's connection to NZT. As Brian and Morra's fates become further intertwined, Brian is faced with how far he's willing to go to protect the politician."
