Low on budget? Need a fully-feature packed smartphone? Lenovo has you covered. Affordable pricing is one of the core strategies of the Chinese tech giant but the company isn't compromising on the quality of its product.

In its latest attempt to lure photo enthusiasts, Lenovo unveiled all-new Vibe Shot, company's affordable take on one of the best camera phones in the market, at the MWC 2015 trade show this week.

There are a lot of high-end camera phones in the market, like the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom and the Nokia Lumia 1020. But the premium camera module in these smartphones comes with a price. Lenovo is keeping things simpler with its budget-friendly Vibe Shot camera phone. Let's take a look at the competent camera module in Vibe Shot alongside other features and specifications.

Lenovo Vibe Shot: Camera

Lenovo Vibe Shot disguises as a point-and-shoot camera with impressive phone specs. Featuring a 5-inch Full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass on both front and back, the Vibe Shot sports a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with tri-color LED flash. What's more interesting is the fact that the camera packs premium features such as low-light back illumination and optical image stabilisation, a feature usually seen in flagship smartphone. It has a six-piece modular lens, which has sapphire coating for protection.

The Vibe Shot boasts quick focus with infrared focus feature, which the company says is twice as fast as the normal AF system, Phone Arena reported. To make things simpler, there's a dedicated camera button on the right side of the phone's panel.

Interestingly, the Vibe Shot features Pro and Smart modes to help users get the perfect shot. Smart model offers assistance in getting a "good" and "perfect" shot with smart object and face recognition features. As for the Pro, users get a wider control over camera settings such as ISO and white balance.

If that does not suffice, Lenovo packs an impressive 8MP front snapper for your great selfies and video chatting.

Lenovo Vibe Shot: Design

Lenovo's latest handset dons a cleaner look with squared edges and a slim profile. At first glance, the smartphone looks almost like a traditional point-and-shoot camera. It measures 7.3mm thick and has a lightweight aluminium frame. The Vibe Shot features speakers at the bottom along with the micro USB charging port and extremely thin bezels.

The Vibe Shot is expected to come in three color variants, grey, white and red.

Lenovo Vibe Shot: Under The Hood

The hardware specifications are just as impressive as the camera and design of the Vibe Shot. It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage and microSD slot for more space. It has room for two nano SIM cards and support for high-speed LTE. The phone is backed up by a 2,900mAh Li-Polymer battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Pricing and Availability

The Indian pricing for the Lenovo Vibe Shot was not announced during the unveiling but it will launch in the U.S. for $349 in June. This translates to around ₹21,000 when it launches in India.
