If there is a model that has been getting a good measure of leaks in the past few months, it has to be the Nano GenX, the upcoming new avatar of Tata's most-awaited least expensive car. It has hardly been a week since the news started doing the rounds that Tata's new Nano GenX will soon hit the market with fully-loaded 'Creep function', a first in its segment. Building up on what we have already seen from the past leaks, new images and details of the models have hit the web.

Tata Nano, a dream project of Ratan Tata - chairman emeritus of the Tata group - is being fitted for a comeback with its new AMT avatar Nano Genx in the pipeline. The Nano, which was touted as the cheapest car did not take off well in the Indian auto market due to various reasons. Although car maker Tata tried to boost the sales of Nano with the upgraded versions of the model, the car failed to pull the buyers as expected. However, Tata is not ready to throw in the towel just yet.

Last year, Tata launched its new Nano with power steering; and now coming our way is yet another model of Nano with openable boot which is again first in the Nano line-up. From the images posted by the folks at Indian Autos blog, the Nano engineers seemed to have given the least expensive car a thorough makeover with new front and rear design. The Nano GenX will reportedly come with increased fuel tank capacity of 24 litres from 15 litres and there is also a boot space of 110 litres. That is not all; we have also heard that Nano GenX is tuned to give a mileage of 21.9 kmpl.

Going by the reports, GenX will be offered in both manual and AMT variants and will come donned in seven body paints: Pearl White, Meteor Silver, Sangria Red ,Damson Purple, Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue, and Persian Rose.
