An alleged sex video claiming to feature Hardik Patel, the leader of the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti, has gone viral on Facebook and other social media websites.

The clip features three men engaging in obscene sexual acts with a woman dressed in skimpy clothes.

The 22-year-old recently brought the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a standstill demanding reservation for the Patel community. And the leaked obscene video seems to be an attempt to tarnish the image of the popular youth leader.

According to India.com, the video was leaked by "political rivals" to tarnish the image of the Patel leader. It is being reported that man claimed to be Hardik Patel is in fact a look-alike.

The video was released on Youtube by Khoji Narad, an Uttarakhand based Hindi news portal, on 30 August. The alleged sex clip has been viewed by over 3.5 lakh people.

The authenticity of the video, however, could not be verified independently.  

The Patel community leader, has not released any statement on the allegations yet. In recent days, he has been busy in Surat, after the group decided to shift the base of the movement from Ahmedabad.

According to Indian Express, the Surat unit of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti has now announced its plans for a 10-day "Dandi march" through  "violence-affected areas" of Gujarat to demand OBC status for the Patel community.
