Italian super-car brand Lamborghini appointed former Audi India head of field forces, Sharad Agarwal, as its new Head of India operations. As the head of Lamborghini India, Agarwal will be responsible to drive the entire activities for the company in the subcontinent, overseeing sales, marketing, after sales and network development.
"It's indeed a pleasure to welcome Sharad as the Head of Lamborghini India. Sharad comes with 15 years of experience in the automotive industry and his expertise and contribution will allow us to further strengthen the brand in a market Lamborghini considers strategic and one of the most promising thanks to the already announced arrival of the Lamborghini SUV, URUS, announced in 2018," said Andrea Baldi, general manager of Automobili Lamborghini Asia-Pacific, in the statement.
Prior to his new assignment, Agarwal was with Audi India since May 2012 as head of corporate sales, fleet and leasing, and financial services, before moving to head the field forces in 2013. Prior to that, he had worked with Zuari Industries, TVS Motor Company and Mahindra First Choice.
Agarwal's appointment comes after three month of previous head Pavan Shetty being promoted as director of Porsche India in Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited.
