Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have to win all of their remaining six league matches in IPL 2016 in an effort to keep their playoffs hopes alive. The rockbottom side of the Indian Premier League this season, take on third-placed Delhi Daredevils (DD) in their ninth game of the competition.

All eyes will definitely be on South African batsman Hashim Amla, who is expected to make his IPL debut with KXIP at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Saturday. Amla was brought in midway in the season as a replacement for the injured Shaun Marsh.

However, can M Vijay's men pull off a win against a relatively-young Delhi Daredevils side led by the veteran Indian bowler Zaheer Khan? That definitely remains to be seen.

DD mentor Rahul Dravid's strategy and Khan have definitely worked wonders for this Delhi side so far this season. Both teams come into the game at the back of a loss in their previous fixture, but DD are expected to pull off another win.

The likes of Karun Nair, Pawan Negi and Rishabh Pant may just work wonders once again to record another win for the away side. "It has been nice to have Rahul [Dravid] around in the team, especially with a young team here. He has guided us a lot and helped us along the way," DD's South African opener Quinton de Kock told IANS.

"It is so nice to have a mentor like that. It gives us the confidence to go out and play freely."

The pressure is definitely on the home side and they know the importance of eking three points out of the game. The experienced customers in the form of David Miller and Glenn Maxwell, will have to step up their performances now for KXIP in this do-or-die situation.

Medium pacer Sandeep Sharma, 22, is also expected to deliver another of his impressive performances for KXIP on the night.
