"Krrish 3" had an extraordinary start on opening day, despite its release in the pre-Diwali period. Hrithik Roshan starrer science fiction film has raked in more than ₹25 crore at the domestic box office.

Even though the release coincided with a festive period, the film raked in huge amounts from Indian markets. The combined total of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu version stands at ₹25 crore.

"Despite pre-Diwali and non-holiday, #Krrish3 takes a fantabulous start. India biz [Hindi + Tamil + Telugu]: Fri ₹25 cr. Mindblowing," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"Krrish 3" has become the highest non-holiday opener at domestic market, beating Salman Khan's "Dabangg 2" record.

Till the release of "Krrish 3," the Salman starrer held the record for the highest opening day collection with ₹21.10 crore for a film released on non-holiday Friday, followed by Ranbir Kapoor's "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" with ₹19.45 crore.

"Pre-diwali is considered the worst period in the entire year..Stiil #Krrish3 collects ₹26cr on day 1 (₹24 + ₹2cr Tamil & Telagu). OUTSTANDING !" trade analyst Amod Mehra tweeted.

Hrithik, the lead actor of the film, thanked his team and the country on Twitter.

"Prediwali non holiday gets ₹25.5cr 4 #krrish3! Congrats 2 my team Krrish!Thank u INDIA! How do I give back this love 2 all of u? Gratitude!!!" Hrithik said.

In the international market, the film has started on a terrific note, especially the UAE-GCC circuits. From UAE circuit alone, the superhero flick raked in ₹2.20 crore from Thursday's paid preview.

From UK, the film had raked in total ₹1.58 crore, Australia ₹44.94 lakh and New Zealand ₹13.10 lakh.
