2014 Diwali is a real treat for cinema lovers. Besides the release of new films "Kaththi" and "Poojai," there has been a couple of teaser and trailer releases for the fans.

The official teaser of Dhanush's "Anegan" and the trailer of Siddharth-Prithviraj's "Kaaviya Thalaivan" have been released on the Internet.

"Anegan"

The first look teaser of Dhanush's much-awaited film "Anegan" does not reveal much except that it will be a love story with loads of action, fun and emotions.

The chemistry between Dhanush and the newcomer Amyra Dastur appears to be the main highlight of the film. The national award winner is seen sporting different looks in the teaser. Versatile actor Karthik seems to be playing a significant role in the romantic entertainer.

Directed by K. V. Anand, "Anegan" is one of the most-awaited films of the year. It is touted to be Dhanush's costliest film ever. The film's shooting has been completed and is getting ready for a release. According to latest reports, uncertainty over the release of Vikram's "I" and Rajinikanth's "Lingaa" has delayed the release of "Anegan."

Apparently, the makers of "Anegan" do not prefer to release the film along with other biggies as they will grab the more number of screens.

The audio launch of the Dhanush starrer is expected to happen in November, while the film is expected to hit the screens in December. However, an official confirmation regarding the release date is still awaited.

Harris Jayaraj has composed the songs for "Anegan", while Om Prakash has handled the cinematography and editing is done by Anthony. Sony Music has reportedly snapped the audio rights of the film.

AGS Entertainment has produced the Dhanush starrer, which also has Mukesh Tiwari, Atul Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vinaya Prasad and Jagan in supporting roles.

"Kaaviya Thalaivan"

The official trailer of Siddharth-Prithviraj's "Kaaviya Thalaivan" reveals that the period drama revolves around the lives of 20th century drama artistes with Vedhika, Nassar, Anaika, Thambi Ramaiah, Ponvannan and Babu Antony appearing in pivotal roles.

AR Rahman's songs have turned out to be huge hits. His BGM will be one of the major highlights of the period drama. Sony Music has bagged the audio rights of the film.

The film, directed by Vasantha Balan of "Angadi Theru" fame, is expected to hit the screens in November. But an official announcement on the release date is still awaited.

Apart from "Anegan" teaser and "Kaaviya Thalaivan" trailer, the first look poster of Suriya's "Masss" has also been released as a Diwali treat for the fans. Suriya looks intense in the poster and has generated huge buzz surrounding the actor's character in the film, touted to be a horror comedy.
