Prashanth Neel-directorial KGF has successfully completed its first week in the US. The multilingual film has performed better than in its South Indian counterparts in its first week at the North America box office.

On its seventh day (Thursday), KGF is estimated to have grossed over $30,000 from 60+ locations in the US. From the four versions (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada) versions, the film has raked in over $500,000 in its first week.

Since its release on 20 December with premieres in 100 screens, KGF has retained the mometum. The surprising part of its success story is that the business has not dropped even on weekdays which only proves that the flick is gaining popularity among the audience.

It has already become the highest-grossing Kannada movie in the US. However, it has to be seen whether the flick touches $1-million mark.

For decades, Kannada movies were restricted to Karnataka. But in the recent the years, new-age filmmakers have taken the Sandalwood films to different parts of the country and the world. KGF has now gone a step ahead by doing good business in multiple languages.

KGF is a two-part movie produced by Hombale Films. The first instalment hit the screens on 20 November and the second will appear before the viewers, possibly next year.

Yash has appeared as an ambitious man Rocky, who wants to become the most rich and powerful man in the world. The Rocking Star's performance, storyline, BGM and cinematography are the plus points of the film.
