Prashanth Neel's second outing KGF has completed its first weekend on a high note. The movie has performed well in Karnataka and shown considerably improvement in its business in Hindi belt and the Telugu-speaking states after getting lukewarm response on the opening day.

Yash and Srinidhi Shetty-starrer KGF opened to earth-shattering opening by grossing over Rs 15 crore and has estimated to have added over Rs 15 crore in the next two days to take its three-day total above Rs 30 crore in Karnataka. The movie has enjoyed fantastic occupancy rate in theatres in B and C centres on Saturday and Sunday which helped the flick to end its first weekend on a positive note.

In the Telugu speaking states, KGF is estimated to have earned around Rs 3.8 crore in three days, whereas the combined business of Tamil Nadu and Kerala stand at Rs 1.8 crore in the first weekend.

In the Hindi belt, KGF has grossed over Rs 12.5 crore in three days. It has to be noted that the business has consistently improved after a slow start. "#KGF goes from strength to strength... Picks up momentum over the weekend... Fri 2.10 cr, Sat 3 cr, Sun 4.10 cr. Total: ₹ 9.20 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version.[sic]" well-known trade tracker Taran Adarsh posted the nett collection of its Hindi version.

The best part of its success story is that KGF has come out with flying colors at the US box office. The movie has estimated to have grossed over Rs 2 crore in three days.

The estimated gross collection of KGF at the worldwide box office is about Rs 51.1 crore.

However, the good run is expected to continue for a few days given the Christmas and New Year holiday season. The industry is predicting the flick to become the highest-grossing film of Sandalwood of all-time.
