Malayalam actor Unni Mukudan has filed an FIR against a woman from Ottappalan in Palakkad for allegedly threatening him.
He filed the complaint at Ottappalan which was later shifted to Cheranellor police station. A case has been registered under the sections 385 (putting person in fear of injury in order to commit extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
In the complaint, Unni Mukundan claims that the woman approached him to narrate a story of a film. The actor promised to give an appointment for her only if the script was complete. Though the woman arrived at his rented house in Edapally, Kochi on August 23, the actor apparently sent her away as the script was incomplete.
Unni now alleged that the woman later blackmailed and threatened him with rape charge in order to extort money from him. In his petition, the Janatha Garage actor claims that an advocate had approached him demanding to either marry the woman or give a compensation of Rs 25 lakh or a car worth Rs 20 lakh.
Meanwhile, on the acting front, Unni is awaiting the release of his next Telugu flick Bhaagamathie opposite actress Anushka Shetty and Mammootty's Masterpiece. He has also been roped in to play the main roles in the movies — Ira, Chanakya Thantram and Oru Kuttanadan Blog.
