Multi-tasking might be a tough task for many, but there are many who have proved to be super- talented with their different abilities. And, if one thinks directing and acting is not for one person alone, a few Bollywood celebs have proved it wrong by making a mark as a director as well as an actor.

However, before drawing any conclusion, we need to understand that only a good actor can become a good director. B-town stalwarts like Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Farhan Akhtar, Kunal Kohli, Farah Khan and many others have proved that they can be good directors as well as actors.

Karan Johar

Even though Karan Johar began his career as a cameo actor in "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995) with Shah Rukh Khan, he is more popular as a director, who has mesmerised the audience with the evergreen romantic films like "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (1998), "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" (2001), "Kal Ho Naa Ho" (2003) and "2 States" (2014), among others. Soon, the 42- year-old film-maker will be seen playing a pivotal role in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Bombay Velvet".

Kunal Kohli

The director of hit films "Hum Tum" (2004) and "Fanaa" (2006), Kunal Kohli is set to make his debut as an actor in the upcoming romantic film "Phir Se..." opposite Jennifer Winget. The film, directed by Kunal and Ajay Bhuyan, is set to hit the screens on 7 April.

Farhan Akhtar

Multi-talented Farhan Akhtar is an actor, director, screenwriter, producer, playback singer and lyricist all rolled into one. While he has directed the films like "Dil Chahta Hai"  (2001), "Lakshya" (2004), "Don" (2006) and among others, the 41-year-old received a lot of appreciations for his performance in "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" (2013) and "Rock On!!" (2008). He will be next seen in "Dil Dhadakne Do" and "Wazir".

Anurag Kashyap

Apart from acting and directing many movies, Anurag Kashyap has handled both with aplomb especially in his films like "Black Friday", "No Smoking" (2007), "Dev D" and "Gulaal" (2009).

Farah Khan

The talented choreographer-cum-filmmaker Farah Khan has also acted as a lead heroine opposite Boman Irani in the 2012 film "Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi", apart from her cameo appearances in many other hit films. She has directed the hit films "Main Hoon Na" (2004), "Om Shanti Om" (2007), "Tees Maar Khan" (2010) and "Happy New Year" (2014).
