Actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and director Mallikarjuna's third movie "Sher", after "Abhimanyu" and "Kalyanram Kathi", is slated to be released in theatres on 30 October.

Written by Diamond Ratna Babu, "Sher" is a high voltage action entertainer with all the commercial ingredients. Komara Venkatesh has produced the movie with a whopping budget of over Rs 15 crore under the banner of Vijayalakshmi Pictures. The makers have kept its story under wraps. They say love and family sentiments are going to be the highlights of the film.

Cast and crew

In "Sher", Kalyan Ram is seen as a boy-next-door, who goes to the extreme for his family and love. Sonal Chauhan is playing the female lead, while Vikramjeet Virk and Mukesh Rishi appear as baddies. Brahmanandam, MS Narayana and Ali's comedy timing is going to be one of the big highlights of the film. Nora Fatehi is making a special appearance in the film's item song. 

S Thaman has composed music for the soundtracks and background score. His songs have been successful in impressing music lovers. Sarvesh Murari has handled the cinematography for the movie.

Hype and promotion

The huge success of Kalyan Ram's lat film "Pataas" has created lot of curiosity for "Sher" among film goers. Its promos have impressed viewers, who have high expectations about the film. The makers have shelled out a hefty sum on its publicity. Having created headlines for good reasons, the movie has got a positive buzz everywhere.

Release and advance booking

"Sher" is scheduled to be released in around 500 cinema halls in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, 180 screens in other parts of India and about 70 in international markets. The film will grace more than 750 theatres around the world. The film has decent amount of advance booking for its opening day.

Box office prediction

"Pataas" is the biggest opener and highest grosser for Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. "Sher" is much bigger than Ram's last outing in terms of its budget, hype, promotion, volume of release and advance booking. The Mallikarjuna-directed film will definitely beat the records of "Pataas" and become another hit film for Kalyan Ram.
