Fans of Justin Bieber and One Direction are marking 13 November on their calendars as the two teen sensations are all set to drop their individual albums on the same day.

During his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on 2 September, Bieber announced that 13 November will be the release date for his fourth studio album.

A few weeks later, on 22 September, One Direction declared on Twitter that their fifth studio album "Made In The A.M." will also be released on the same day.

Ever since the announcements of the much anticipated albums of the year were made, fans of the Canadian pop star and the British-Irish boy band have completely lost their chill and sharing their excitement on Twitter.

It is actually hard to choose between the two. While Bieber, 21, will be making a comeback with the first album in three years since releasing Believe in June 2012, One Direction's album will also be the first one since Zayn Malik shocked their fans by parting ways from the band in March 2015.

Earlier this summer, both Bieber and One Direction released singles from their upcoming albums and looking into the chart success, the former seems to have won the race. While One Direction's "Drag Me Down" charted at Number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" went straight to number 1, becoming his first single to have debuted at the top spot.

Nonetheless, both of them broke some records as well.

With "What Do You Mean?", Justin Bieber became the youngest male artiste to debut at number 1 on Billboard Hot 100, earning a Guinness World Record. On the other hand, with 4.75 million global streams, One Direction's "Drag Me Down" broke the Spotify record and became the most streamed track in one day. Earlier this record was held by Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" with 4.26 million global streams.

This is not the first time though where famous musicians decided to release their albums on the same day. In 2007, Kanye West and 50 Cent dropped their much anticipated albums--Graduation and Curtis respectively--on the same day, according to Billboard. West totally swept Cent off the charts, selling 957,000 albums to the latter's 691,000.

Considering that both Justin Bieber and One Direction have the most dedicated and fierce fan-following, only time will tell who comes out on the winner's side on 13 November that seems no less than a World War.

For all the Beliebers out there, you can pre-order your favourite pop star's new album via his official music shop. And for all the Directioners who are impatient to hear your boys' music, you can pre-order their new album via iTunes and their official shop.
