One Direction Fans Launch Twitter War Against Preston North End Football Club

Twitter witnessed the weirdest social media war recently after One Direction fans expressed their wrath over Preston North End Football Club for its humorous reply to young heartthrob Louis Tomlinson.

The social media fight began with Tomlinson's tweet on Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone's decision to loan for Preston. 

"Shame about @samjohnstone50 leaving . Left us in the shit a bit now !! #DRFC," read the tweet.

As a reply to the young singer, Preston wrote, "@Louis_Tomlinson Sorry Louis, we didn't realise @samjohnstone50 was an integral part of 1D. The boy can sing, maybe that's why he left..."

However, many of One Direction fans did not take it as a joke and they expressed their wrath over it in the comment section.

During the Twitter war, the football club was also exposed to several abusive words from the admirers of the English-Irish boy band.
