One of the biggest WWE superstars of the decade, John Cena, is making his much-awaited return to the WWE on the final episode of SmackDown Live in the calendar year 2016. Cena, 39, recently was a host of NBC's Saturday Night Live.

Cena fought last at the No Mercy 2016 pay-per-view in a triple threat match against Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship title. This was held in California on October 9 this year. AJ won that match and also the belt in the process.

Following the match, the WWE veteran than took a break from pro wrestling to shoot for the season 2 of the American TV series American Grit. Cena is one of the executive producers of the show.

Possible feuds for John Cena

AJ Styles

There is no reason why the two of the greatest exponents of pro wrestling cannot continue their rivalry, as the first major WWE PPV event of the calendar year 2017 -- the Royal Rumble -- draws nearer. Cena can pick it right up from where he left and the headline match from SmackDown Live for Royal Rumble 2016, can get instantly created.

Baron Corbin

Let's face the truth. Corbin may have had his share of rivalry with Kalisto over the few weeks, but it is time for him to rise higher. And there is no perfect way than Cena coming to his aid in his aim to reach higher glory. Baron Corbin has the physicality, the character and some good mic skills as well. Cena has in the past also feuded with relatively newcomers to the WWE and has gotten the best out of them. Kevin Owens, for example. Is Baron Corbin the next for Cena?

The Undertaker

There is a massive chance that the 'Phenom' can have a showdown with John Cena and over the next few months, the feud can transform to a possible WrestleMania 33 showdown. Their latest rivalry took place in 2003, when they had a sensational Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship at the Vengeance PPV. What happens next will closely be monitored. As of now, we all await John Cena's return to the WWE.
