Three top women pro wrestlers from the independent scene are set to mark their appearance on WWE come the new year. According to several reports as quoted by Cageside Seats, the trio of Kimber Lee, Evie and Heidi Lovelace are scheduled to make their WWE appearance at the Performance Center in Orlando on January 3, 2017.
The date coincides with the first SmackDown Live of the new year, scheduled to take place in Jacksonville, Florida.
After the WWE came under criticism from several quarters for not presenting a decent women's division in the PG Era as compared to that of the Attitude Era, which consisted superstars like Chyna, Trish Stratus and Lita, the recent move by the WWE may be an attempt to revamp the women's division.
Over the recent years, the likes of AJ Lee, Paige, the Bella Twins and Natalya have tried their best in bringing the best out of women's wrestling in the WWE, but truth be told, they have not been able to match up with the earlier years.
Now, with the likes of Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss turning the attention back to women's wrestling, the WWE is definitely leaving no stone unturned to make the division one of their top draws, yet again.
