"At about 4 am, their health suddenly deteriorated, prompting family members to take them to a private hospital. They were declared dead on arrival, and their bodies were brought back home, where funeral preparations began," ADCP (West) Roshan Meena said.

Upon noticing their critical condition, the family rushed them to a private hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and halted the funeral preparations that had begun. The bodies were taken into custody for post-mortem examination and later handed back to the family.

Based on the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the sisters consumed a poisonous substance. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report is received.

Police said no suicide note was found at the scene, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
