Original Story: An encounter between security personnel and terrorists in Kupwara district in North Kashmir reportedly left two Army personnel and four militants dead and two others injured on Saturday.

The encounter has been going on for almost 20 hours now in the Marseri village in Kupwara's Zunreshi Chowkibal area.

Among the injured was a rank-holding officer, reported ANI.

IANS reported two deaths and four injured personnel, while IBN Live reported the death of two armymen and four militants, and two other unspecified people injured.

The encounter is going on near the Line of Control (LoC), some 90 km away from Srinagar.

The security personnel had information regarding two to three militants hiding in the village. To weed them out, the police and the Army cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. After the cordon was established, the security personnel were attacked by the militants, following which they shot back, reported the Press Trust of India.
