Mumbai Police are investigating the 'physical relationship' angle in the Jiah Khan suicide case following Sooraj Pancholi's confession of his year long live-in relationship with the actress.

This angle came to light with Jiah's last note which suggested abuse, torture, violence and abortion.

Even as Jiah's mother Rabiya alleged that the couple were living together and Sooraj abused Jiah, police will now look into the hotel records where the couple stayed while vacationing in Goa, Lokhandwala and Khandala.

"The panchnama of all the hotels they stayed in would be evidence that the couple were staying together." Said Vishwas Nangre Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police, Indian Express reported.

Police will look into the room bookings at the five-star hotels along with the statement of the doctor who performed an abortion on Jiah. The actress' clothes which were found at Sooraj's residence will also serve as evidence of her proximity with Sooraj.

The post mortem report released on Thursday found no external injuries on the deceased actress, which goes against the claims of her mother Rabiya. She had alleged that Sooraj had hit Jiah, propelling her to take the extreme step.

Meanwhile, Sooraj who was sent to custody till 27 June had sought bail on the grounds that the police had falsely implicated him.

While Mumbai Mirror quoted a source speaking for Sooraj's friends, "He (Sooraj) has temper issues. Though, most of the time he is gentle to the point of being gullible, he can be extremely stubborn. A true Scorpio."

"His friends would often wonder if they were 'off' or 'on'. Jiah even tried to reach out to one of them, but no one wanted to get involved in their personal life. The only time they looked happy with each other was when they appeared for a film screening early this year," added the source.

The report further stated that Pancholi Jr was very secretive of his relationship with Jiah, as evident from the absence of posts or pictures of the couple on his social networking profiles.
