The battle between the Joker and Batman is probably one of the most iconic rivalries in the history of comic books. Though Joker's primary concern has always been the Batman, he has never stopped himself from clashing with other DC comic book heroes.

Jared Leto played the role of Joker in DC Extended Universe's (DCEU) latest "Suicide Squad." Though he had a cameo in the movie with only a few scenes, his character was appreciated by fans and there is a significant possibility that he will be appearing in the proposed Batman solo movie.

However, it now seems that Joker might appear in another prominent DCEU title. During the "Suicide Squad" press tour, Leto talked about the fight between the Joker and Superman and what it would be like.

As reported by IGN, Leto joked that before the fight, Joker would have to remember his (Superman) name first.

"Ah, 'Who?' That would probably be his answer. 'Super-who? Superboy? He sounds cute. Tights? A cape?'" Leto said.

"Superman seems like a lot of fun though for the Joker. The Joker and Superman would be interesting to see onscreen because Superman's so stoic and morally centred. I think that the Joker would really enjoy that. Superman is just the classic hero and the Joker opposite any hero would be really interesting."

Though it may at present sound far-fetched for the cinematic universe of DC, the idea is not a new one as in several comic books, Joker and Superman had a few showdowns. Probably the best one in recent times was in the video game titled "Injustice Gods Among Us" where Joker kills Superman's wife, Lois Lane and his unborn child too.

Recently, Warner Bros. confirmed the production of "Man of Steel 2," in which Henry Cavill will reprise his role of Clark Kent/Superman from "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Though the release date has not been announced yet, fans might get to watch the clown prince of crime having a one-on-one with the Caped Crusader.
