Jane The Virgin season 3 premieres tonight, October 17, at 9pm EST on The CW, and viewers cannot wait to know if Jane Gloriana Villanueva will reunite with Michael Cordero in episode 1.
While teasing her fans about the fate of Brett Dier's character, creator Jennie Snyder Urman warned viewers that it will be a devastating season opener that will take them through an emotionally harrowing journey.
The sequel will also address Xiomara Gloriana Villanueva a.k.a Xo's pregnancy, her relationship with Rogelio de la Vega and Anezka's next move against her twin sister, Petra Solano. But the biggest cliffhanger of the hour will be focused on Dr. Luisa Alver and her stepmother, Rose.
For Xo, Urman stated that she will be making some big decisions regarding her pregnancy and it will have a lot of ramifications, including effects on her relationship with Jaime Camil's character. On the other hand, the famous telenovela star will land in trouble due to his decision to remake The Passions Of Santos for the American audience.
Meanwhile, the twin sisters, played by Yael Grobglas, will continue their sibling fights. "Petra is frozen. If Anezka doesn't get back in time to give her another shot — she has to give her these shots every certain amount of hours — then she's going to unfreeze. So there's a little bit of drama in that first episode about whether Anezka's going to get there on time," said the executive producer.
The creator even stated that the 46th episode of the hit romantic comedy will get deeper into the "screwed-up relationship" between Rafael Solano's sister and her stepmother. "Can they survive what Rose has done in order to forge a future, because they really do love each other? That's going to be a big question," she added (via TV Line).

Meanwhile, Anezka is trying to find new dirt on Rafael when she begins an unexpected romance.
