Mohanlal and Junior NTR's Janatha Garage, which was released in theatres on September 1, is set for a grand TV premiere on MAA TV on October 23, days after it completes the 50-day run in theatres.

Janatha Garage was released in 2,000+ screens across the globe and is still having a good run in over 30 cinema halls even after 47 days. The movie has made superb collections at the box office and has turned out as the highest grossing Telugu film for Junior NTR and Mohanlal. Massive pre-release hype had created a lot of demand for the satellite rights of Janatha Garage. With the movie turning a blockbuster, many viewers, who were eagerly waiting to watch it on small screen, were asking to reveal the date of its TV premiere.

The bosses of MAA TV hinted on October 11 that the movie will have its TV premiere very soon. They tweeted: "Blockbuster Movie #JanathaGarage Television Premiere...Coming Soon on @MAATV." They confirmed its release date on Sunday and their post on MAA TV read: "World Television Premiere Of Blockbuster #JanagathaGarage ... Sunday (October 23rd) at 5:30 PM #JanathaGarageOnMAA."

Interestingly, Junior NTR's Sankrati release Nannaku Prematho had its TV premiere on October 10. Gemini TV, which acquired its satellite rights for Rs 10.25 crore, aired the film as a Dussehra treat. The movie has received a superb response from the TV audience and the bosses of the channel are yet to reveal its TRP ratings. Two weeks after this, his next movie Janatha Garage is set to premiere as a Diwali treat.
