The delay in the release of Vijay's Jana Nayagan has paved the way for Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi and Prabhas' The Raja Saab to take the box office by storm this Sankranthi.
Jana Nayagan was earlier scheduled for worldwide release on January 9, but its release was postponed due to the delay in the censorship by the censor board. The makers of the film are yet to announce its new release. However, the movie is out of the Sankranthi race.
The Thalapathy Vijay starrer is one of the most anticipated Tamil movies of the year. It happens to be the last film of the actor as he enters politics after the film's theatrical release. This has created a lot of expectations for the movie, with his fans desperately waiting for its release.
The hype surrounding it made its theatrical distribution rights sell at record prices. The distributors had grand plans for the release of Jana Nayagan, which was supposed to hit over 4,000 screens across the globe. Following its delay, other releases benefit, as they will get more screens at the cinema halls where the Vijay starrer was supposed to be released.

Jana Nayagan had posed a threat to The Raja Saab and Parasakthi by becoming the first choice for audiences in many places around the world. With the movie getting out of the race, both the films benefit as they replace the viewers' choice across the world.
Parasakthi is a Tamil historical political action drama film, which has been written and directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Aakash Bhaskaran of Dawn Pictures. The movie is dubbed and released in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
On the other hand, The Raja Saab is a comedy horror romantic film that is dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam along with the original on January 9. Jana Nayagan was to be the tough contender for the Prabhas starrer in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam speaking regions, where the former has gotten a sigh of relief with the latter's delay.
