Jamie Dornan became a household name after he starred as billionaire Christian Grey in the erotic thriller Fifty Shades of Grey. The actor recently talked about his works after his Fifty Shades days and how he sometimes struggles with the idea that everyone will always remember him as Christian Grey.
After Fifty Shades of Freed, Jamie Dornan went on to pursue more challenging roles. In 2018, he was seen in movies like A Private War and Robin Hood. In Private War, Jamie portrays the role of Paul Conroy, a photojournalist who covered several conflicts around the globe with journalist Marie Colvin.
The 36-year-old Jamie Dornan recently opened to Deadline about his working process and even revealed about the lasting impact of his role of Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
Jamie Dornan explained that "Sometimes, I struggle with that. I might be fighting this my entire career. I hope not. You just want to keep trying to improve yourself and better yourself."
At the same time, Jamie further noted that it was because of Fifty Shades franchise that he is being offered other projects.
"I think it's given me so much beyond finance-wise, I mean that opportunity to then do the movies that we're talking about like Anthropoid and A Private War, movies like that have so much heart and mean so much to me. I would not have been given those opportunities if I hadn't done Fifty Shades," Jamie concluded.
Apparently, this is not the first time when Jamie Dornan talked about Fifty Shade movie franchise. After the release of the third and final part in the franchise, everyone considered that Jamie is meant for such roles only and he admitted that he wouldn't star in a movie like Fifty Shades again, describing it as "a mad thing to be involved in." He added that in future, he won't ever take a job like this because it had too much attention and public opinions were directed at it.
At the same time, Jamie, who become the international sex symbol after Fifty Shades of Grey, also revealed the similarities between him and the character he portrayed. As per the actor, he is not at all like Christian Grey in real life.
