When it comes to sending temperatures soaring onscreen, Jennifer Lopez is unbeatable.

The singer-actress recently spoke about her much-talked about sex scene in her upcoming thriller "The Boy Next Door." Lopez said that though she was uncomfortable doing a bedroom romp in front of the camera, she chose not to use a body double.

"It was all me. And all Ryan, by the way," she told Eonline.

The 45-year-old actress added that she chose to do the scene herself because the she wanted it to look genuine.

"It was intense. Those scenes are embarrassing, but your job as an actress or an actor is to make it believable and this movie in particular...hinges on if that was believable, that it was enough to make this guy go insane," she further said about the scene.

Lopez, who plays a divorcee in the film, has gone topless for the scene. The young actor Ryan Guzman is seen caressing her body as she stands by a wall. In one of the shots, Guzman is seen holding on Lopez's waist and looking intently at her. Interestingly, it was not only the "Gigli" actor who had her reservations before doing the scene, even Guzman was nervous.

However, Lopez helped the actor with the scene. "She was the one who kept me at ease. She talked me down. She said, 'We're going to do this [and] we're going to do that. Everything is going to be fun. You're going to have fun.' It was," Guzman revealed.

Apart from featuring a revealing bedroom scene, "The Boy Next Door" also deals with a serious psychological theme where a young boy gets obsessed with a woman. It is Guzman's character that gets infatuated to Lopez's character after a one-night stand.

The film is directed by Rob Cohen and scheduled to be released on 23 January 2015. Lopez is currently busy with the promotion of the film.
