The Delhi Daredevils were humbled by the Kolkata Knight Riders when the two teams met in their first game of IPL 2016. DD will now want to show they have firmly moved on from that woeful performance when they host KKR in what should be an IPL match to savour at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Saturday.

In that first match at Eden Gardens, the KKR bowlers complete dominated the DD batsmen, bowling them out for a mere 98. Brad Hogg, who is unlikely to play in this match, and Piyush Chawla were the pick of the bowlers, with Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir and Manish Pandey, another one who will miss the match on Saturday, then doing the business with the bat to chase down the small score with 5.5 overs to spare.

"The first match is in the past," DD assistant coach Pravin Amre was quoted as saying by IPL's official website. "We have come here in the present. We know that it is a crucial game for both teams. They have also lost their last game, so there is pressure on them as well. We're looking at our strengths.

"We've got two matches at home now and we want to do well in this particular game."

The Daredevils did really well to bounce back from that heavy defeat, going on a run of three straight wins, before getting tripped up by the Gujarat Lions in their last match. However, DD will look to the positive cricket that they have played this season, and they will know if they play their best cricket at home, KKR will find them a difficult side to beat.

For the Kolkata Knight Riders, this match is about showing their bouncebackability powers. After putting up a strong, albeit below par, score at the Wankhede Stadium, the bowlers were smashed all over the park by the Mumbai Indians batsmen, leading to KKR suffering a big loss. Gambhir's men will want to move on from that defeat and show they remain firmly in the title contenders zone with an authoritative all-round performance against DD.
