Infinix Note 5 Stylus Android One makes debut in India: Everything you need to know

Transsion Holdings-subsidiary Infinix Mobiles has launched a feature-rich Android One series Note 5 Stylus in India.

As the name suggests, the new Infinix phone comes with a pencil-like companion dubbed as Xpen to assist the user to jot down notes just like we do on a book.

It is said to come with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity so the lines are finer and more detailed as natural as putting pen to paper. Additionally, it is equipped with superfast charge function giving 90 minutes output from 20 seconds of XPen charge. It can be tucked within the phone on the right side from the base similar to Samsung's flagship Galaxy Note series.

Furthermore, the Air command function of XPen gives access to many other signature features of Stylus such as Click the button to Open the Xpen menu from any window, Double-click the button to open a new memo, Long press button to Switch between eraser and pen/brush while taking notes or painting.

Another interesting aspect of the Note 5 Stylus Android One's XPen is that the phone can understand whether the user is writing English (or Hindi) or doing calculations on the note app. It will automatically generate results for a sum or multiplication or any other complicated mathematics operation. The handwriting recognition and the calculator features will be activated with a software update before the end of December.

The new Infinix Note 5 Stylus sports a full metal shell on the back and a 5.93-inch full HD+ LCD screen on the front. Inside, it comes with a 2.0GHz MediaTek P23 octa-core processor, pure Android 8.1 Oreo, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a massive 4,000mAh battery with a fast charging capability. If the company is to be believed, it can fully charge from zero to 100 per cent in about one hour.

As photography hardware is concerned, it comes with a 16MP primary camera with F1.8 aperture, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-auto scene detection, dual-LED flash and on the front, it houses 16MP sensor with F2.0 aperture, soft light flash, Wide Selfie option, AI Beauty and more.

The new Note 5 Stylus Android One comes in Bordeaux Red and Charcoal Blue colour options and costs Rs 15,999, making it the most affordable smartphone with stylus support. It will be available for sale exclusively on Flipkart  from December 4.
