Sri Lanka will tour India in February to play a three-match T20 series. Being the defending champions, Sri Lanka will look to gear up for their title defence with victory over India.
The first of the three T20s will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on 9 February.
It will be followed by the second T20, which will be held at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on 12 February.
The third and the final T20 of the series will be played at the VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam on 14 February.
"BCCI announced the venues for the three T20 against Sri Lanka in February 2016, before the World T20 which will be played in India. Sri Lanka T20s to be played in Visakhapatnam, Pune and Delhi," Sri Lanka Cricket said in a media release.
"Sri Lanka will travel to India for three T20 internationals in February next year prior to the Asia Cup and the World Twenty20."
India are currently touring Australia for a five-match ODI and three-match T20 series, with the tour coming to an end on 31 January.
After this three-match T20 series, both teams will travel to Bangladesh to take part in the Asia Cup T20 just ahead of the ICC World T20 2016, which will be held in India in March.
The last time India and Sri Lanka locked horns in the shortest format of the game was in the final of the ICC World T20 2014 at the Sher-e-Bangla International Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which the latter won to clinch the title.
