India skipper Virat Kohli was not impressed with the Board of Control for Cricket in India and their players' payment structure for the contracted players, which was announced in March. Following which, Kohli also met the BCCI's Committee of Administrators to discuss the annual player contracts, and the India captain is once again set to meet the CoA before the IPL final on May 21.

The Supreme Court-appointed CoA looks after all such big contracts, and Kohli will once again present his players' case forward for better salaries and retainership fees.

During his last meeting, Kohli had made it clear that Grade A players need to receive more than double of what they are getting under the new structure. Grade A players are paid Rs 2 crore under the new structure. Former Team Director Ravi Shastri also criticised this move of Rs 2 crore, referring to it as peanuts.

In fact, Kohli pitched for all Indian players in Grade A, B and C, asking it to be hiked, and it remains to be seen if the CoA will pay heed to his demands during the meeting before the IPL 2017 final.

The players may not be in any mood to compromise with the administrators, The Times of India reported.

However, the board is also having their own share of problems - their ongoing battle with the International Cricket Council, where BCCI's revenues have been reduced.

It remains to be seen if this BCCI vs ICC tussle will have a negative impact on the players in this salary episode.
