The Undertaker is a household name in wrestling and he has been working in the WWE for more than three decades now. He is one of the select few wrestlers who has managed to live their WWE gimmick off-screen as well, leading to very little knowledge of the man he is in real life – Mark Calaway.

The 53-year-old wrestler made his wrestling debut in 1984 for the World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) and even wrestled in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) for a year. But his career-defining stint has been with the WWE, since joining the company in 1990.

Undertaker has played many gimmicks over the years but his 'Deadman' persona is the most popular and in fact, one of the most iconic characters in all of sports entertainment. But he is not getting any younger and is, at best, a part-time competitor for WWE who Vince McMahon calls upon for big pay-per-views like WrestleMania and Survivor Series.

In a recent interview with Onnit's new Stories, Undertaker himself admitted that he is in the final lap of his wrestling career.

"You know, at the tail-end now, I really have to put everything into perspective, and what damage I'm doing at this point, to myself, and my life after wrestling," 'Taker said. "But when I was going full-time, no. Even when the business took a real nose-dive, you're thinking, 'OK, how are we gonna get out of this? What we gonna do? We can work harder.'

"The one thing I was really good at, and in my mind anyway, if anybody else feels that way is another story, but in my mind, I felt like it was always where I belonged, and what I should be doing. Obviously, there were times where money was… but instead of, 'Man, I need to get me a job at the Jiffy Lube and figure out something else later on…', It was, 'What can we do to make this product where we want to see it?'"

Undertaker has a 24-2 record at WWE's marquee pay-per-view event, WrestleMania and the 2019 edition of the event might be the perfect time for the Deadman to finally draw the curtains on a legendary career.
