CBSE Announced All India Rank List; Check IIT JEE (Main) 2015 Results Here

UPDATE, 1 July: The IIT has released the final revised schedule of joint seat allocation (JoSA) 2015 activities. The online registration and filling-in of choices for admission to IITs, NITs, IITs, ISM and other GFTIs (government funded technical institutions) will begin from 1 July.

The complete list of revised schedule of JoSA 2015 is here.

The counselling for admission to 85 technical institutions will begin two to three hours after CBSE publishes the All India Rank list online at 12 noon on Wednesday.

UPDATE, 30 June: The CBSE failed to release the All India Rank list on 29 June, resulting in delay in joint seat allocation (JoSA) for the academic year 2015-16. This prompted the IIT to change the schedule released earlier.

"Note that JoSAA is forced to revise the schedule once again since CBSE has not yet announced the JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-1 and Paper-2 ranks," the website said.

According to the second revised schedule, the online registration and filling-in of choices for admission to various technical institutions will begin from 30 June and end on 4 July. First round of seat allocation has been scheduled from 5 July. Other dates have also been postponed by a day.

However, if the CBSE fails to announce the rank list on Tuesday, JoSA activities may again be postponed as, according to an earlier notice by IIT, the online registration can only begin after the rank list is out.

Original Story: The online registration and filling-in of choices for admission to IITs-ISM, NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs (government funded technical institutions) is likely to be delayed if the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) fails to announce the All India Rank list on Monday (29 June).

The counselling, or Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) 2015, was scheduled to begin from 29 June, but Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) can begin online registration only after the rank list is released.

"Registration and Filling-in of choices in JoSAA portal can begin ONLY AFTER CBSE announces JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-1 and Paper-2 ranks. After CBSE announces the ranks, it will take atleast 2 to 3 hours to open the JoSAA portal to the candidates for online registration and choice filling-in at JoSAA site," the IIT JEE (Advanced) website announced.

The IIT JEE (Main) rank list was scheduled to be declared on 24 June but had to be delayed as the Delhi High Court had asked the IITs to conduct counselling for both IITs and NITs together from the academic year 2015-16. Earlier, the counselling was held separately.

For preparing the All India Rank list, the CBSE had asked all state education boards on 22 June to provide details of Class 12 results of students who appeared for the IIT (Main) 2015 exam.

More than 13 lakh students had appeared for the 2015 IIT JEE (Main) exam conducted on 4, 10 and 11 April. Those who qualify in the exams will be eligible to seek admission to various technical institutions in the country.
