Hyundai Motor India, India's second-largest car manufacturer on Thursday said that the company had sold more than 33,000 units of Grand i10 in 90 days since its launch, making it one of the top 5 selling cars in India.

"Over 33,000 units of Hyundai Grand i10 have already been delivered to happy customers across India in just 90 days of its national launch in September 2013," said Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) in a statement.

The Grand i10, a car positioned between i20 and i10 has been notching good sales figure in the country since its launch in April amid the sluggish demand. Currently, the Maruti Suzuki Alto, DZire, Swift and WagonR are the other car best selling brands in the passenger car segment.

Following the launch of Grand in the Indian market, Hyundai received more than 124,000 footfalls in dealerships across all regions and more than 165,000 test drives have been given to the customers, said the company. The latest offering of Hyundai in the mass segment is said to be drawing crowd from the metros as well as the tier II cities.

Commenting on the Grand i10's success in the domestic market, Rakesh Srivastava, HMIL Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing said: "Grand has created a benchmark in quality, features and technology offering higher value proposition in such a short span of time."

Grand i10, an overview

Hyundai's Grand i10 comes in petrol and diesel engine variants. The petrol variant packs a 1.2-litre Kappa engine, which can churn out a higher power of 83 PS and 116 NM torque. The diesel model of the vehicle houses a 1.1-litre three cylinder U2 VGT motor engine that delivers 71 PS power and 163 NM of torque.

It flaunts premium features like smart key, push button start/stop, a double DIN audio system with 1GB internal memory, Bluetooth connectivity, Aux-in and USB connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, A/C vent for rear passengers ,rear parking sensors, glove box cooling and electric ORVMs.
