Huma Qureshi is very selective about the projects she takes on, but she always ensures that she puts her best foot forward in each of them. Over the years, she has established herself as a versatile actress willing to take on challenging roles and experiment with her craft. Recently, she won the hearts of the critics and audiences alike with her portrayal of Badi Didi in Delhi Crime season 3. Her performance sent shivers down everybody's spines. However, if you were thinking that was all before the year ends, it's not!
The makers of 'Toxic- A Fairytale For Grown-Ups' recently unveiled the poster of Huma as Elizabeth, and the internet cannot get enough of it.
Huma looked chic as ever in the poster, which was shared by Yash. The actress exuded pure goth vibes in a black body-hugging dress. The black car in the background and the colour and contrast of the poster were extremely vintage, and netizens definitely enjoyed that bit of it.
Taking to Instagram, Yash wrote, "Introducing Huma Qureshi as ELIZABETH in - A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups."
A comment on the first look poster read, "Each and every posters stands tall at true Hollywood standards, matching the visual sophistication of top-tier international cinema" while another Instagram user mentioned, "Magic' OF the day ❤️ huma qureshi ossamm." A netizen wrote, "Vintage queen" and another said, "PURE HOLLYWOOD VIBES."
Not just from fans, but director Geetu Mohandas also shared an appreciation note for the actress on Instagram. She admitted that while casting, this was the hardest role to cast for. The director lauded Huma for being the powerhouse talent that she is and also shared her certainty about how this role of Huma's is going to be spectacular.
Geetu wrote, "Casting for this role was perhaps the trickiest. The character demanded a performer with high-octane calibre and an undeniable presence. From the moment Huma entered my frame, I witnessed that she possessed something rare. She carried an effortless sophistication and intensity that immediately brought the character of Elizabeth alive for me. Huma is an actor who questions, probes, and challenges the artistic interpretation of a role, and that dialogue became an essential part of our creative journey. She has always been known as a powerhouse of talent, but this performance will mark a turning point for the arrival of an undeniable, commanding new presence on celluloid."
Huma in reply wrote, "Only you could have dreamed this up, Geetu ❤️ I remember our first coffee meeting when you shared your vision for this film... I was bowled over by the sheer audacity and magnitude of what we were going to attempt!! Each day watching you bring this to life has been nothing short of magical, my Captain. Thank you for giving me the gift of Elizabeth, and to @thenameisyash for being the undeniable force of nature that he is ... as we spoke... This is going to be fire."
