Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has launched new phablet dubbed as Mate 8 in China.

The new Huawei Mate 8 is true premium phone made of high quality airplane grade Aluminium frame and 2.5D curved diamond cut glass.

Under the hood, it comes packed with company's proprietary Kirin Octa-core CPU with an intuitive i5-coprocessor that supports speech recognition, low-power consumption MP3, all the functions of a sensor hub, fused location provider (FLP) navigation, and reduces location-based power consumption.

It is backed by 3GB/4GB RAM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow (with EMUI v4.0), 32GB/64GB/128GB inbuilt memory and a massive 4000 mAh battery, which can easily last more than a day.

Huawei Mate 8 also boasts of level-3 finger-print sensor with advanced security feature, a 16MP Sony camera with dual-tone LED flash on the rear-side and 8MP snapper on the front.

The new Huawei Mate 8 will be initially made available in China in three storage variants -- 32GB, 64GB and 128GB - for Â¥2999 (around $469/€442/Rs. 31,365), Â¥3699 (around $578/€545/Rs. 38,588) and Â¥4399 (around $688/€ 648/Rs. 45,890) respectively [HERE].

The company also added that Huawei Mate S will be showcased at the upcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2015, Las Vegas, and plans to announce the device's international availability and price details. Stay tuned for more updates.
