Huawei's subsidiary Honor has officially detailed the devices eligible for the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

Honor India (on Twitter) has confirmed that the Android M will be rolled-out in February 2016 to Honor 7, 6 Plus, 6, 4C and 4X series.

Since the Honor 7 is the latest to enter the market, it will be the first in line to receive the update.

Last month, Honor representative in an informal chat with reporters during Honor 7 launch, had revealed that the new flagship phone owners would get beta version of the Android M in January and the final version will be rolled out 30 days later.

The key attribute of the Android Marshmallow is the Doze power saving feature, which has been incorporated to extend battery life by at least 30% depending on the device's internal hardware.

Other notable features include native support for fingerprint sensor input, leaner and faster Chrome browser, more intuitive Now on Tap feature, new security feature verified boot system, support for more international dialects, new contextual assistance feature, Google photos and auto back-up from where all app's user data (less than 25MB) will automatically be stored in Google Drive.
