Original story...

Huawei will join the appealing affordable smartphone range in India with its Honor 5X set to be launched on Thursday. The new handset enters the highly-competitive market dominated by the likes of several renowned makers and some new ones. LeEco recently joined the race by launching Le 1s in India last week. The handset offers quite a lot for its effective price and poses a cautious challenge to Huawei's Honor 5X.

LeEco, formerly known as LeTV, has revealed bigger plans for India and Le 1s is just a part of it to help scale up its presence in the world's fastest growing smartphone market. Huawei is hosting an event in India on Thursday to launch its Honor 5X, which has already been released in international markets. The new handset brings fair competition to devices like Lenovo K4 Note, LeEco Le 1s and other similarly priced phones.

In this article, we are comparing fame-worthy LeEco Le 1s and upcoming challenger Huawei Honor 5X spec-by-spec to help buyers decide which smartphone offers better value.

Design and Display

Huawei Honor 5X flaunts a premium design with a full metal body. The rear panel has a brushed finish and the sides are decorated with curved edges and a metal band that seals the body. LeEco Le 1s also boasts a similar metal body in matte colours.

Both smartphones have 5.5-inch Full HD displays. LeEco revealed that the Le 1s display boasts Floating Glass 2.0 technology. Huawei Honor 5X measures 151.3 x 76.3 x 8.15 mm, while Le 1s measurements are scaled at 151.1 x 74.2 x 7.6mm.

Processor, RAM and storage

Performance is a key area that determines any smartphone's success. Huawei Honor 5X is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. LeEco Le 1s, on the other hand, uses a 2.2GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor and 3GB RAM.

LeEco Le 1s is expected to handle tasks better than its rival Honor 5X, but a real-world comparison of both phones will reveal the facts.
