Chinese handset maker Huawei's Ascend Y210D has made its silent debut in India through the online retailers Snapdeal and Flipkart.

The Android smartphone Ascend Y210D is listed as available at Snapdeal.com for a price of ₹4999, while the Flipkart has listed the handset as 'Forthcoming Item'. However, the smartphone is available for preorder at Flipkart.

The Huawei Ascend Y210D smartphone sports a 3.5 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7225A processor. The device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and comes with 256MB of RAM and internal storage of 512MB. The handset has 1700 mAh battery and comes with the dual-SIM connectivity feature. It packs a 2MegaPixel rear fixed focus camera and includes 3G connectivity. The smartphone also supports Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and GPS connectivity. It weighs 120g and measures 12.4 mm thick.

The smartphone manufacturers are in a rage to release smartphone which fall in the sub 5,000 categories. Huawei Ascend Y210D is the latest to join the list. Earlier this week, Micromax released a budget smartphone in the domestic market, A27 Ninja which is now available for a price of ₹3,399.

The A27 Ninja features highly sophisticated features for an affordable price. It comes with 'Swipe 'n' Share', which allows users to share games, apps, videos, songs, photos and any other multimedia content with other Android devices by just swiping. The smartphone boasts of a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 pixel resolution screen and is powered by Spreadtrum processor which is clocked at 1GHz. It comes with a 256MB of RAM and 160MB of internal storage which is expandable up to 16GB with a microSD card.
