Showtime's political drama "Homeland" season 4 will be back on small screens with an explosive episode, which will reveal about Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) and Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes).

The last episode of the show titled "There's Something Else Going On" ended with a cliffhanger, wherein Berenson and Mathison's met with an explosion during the exchange of prisoners.

While, the viewers of "Homeland" curiously wait to find about their favourite characters, the images published by New York Daily News came as a relief to them.

The promotional images show injured Berenson and Mathison walking through the streets of Islamabad as the soldiers are engaged in a violent gunfight.

In the mean time, several speculations are doing the rounds that one of the characters from the "Homeland" series will meet death because a funeral sequence has been shot during the production. But the show-runners are tight-lipped regarding the exit of a character.

As of now, several spoilers have indicated that neither Patinkin and Danes nor Numan Acar (Taliban terrorist Haissam Haqqani) will make an exit from the show. So, it remains to be seen whether any of the cast members will bid goodbye in the upcoming episodes or not.

On the otherhand, the official synopsis of the upcoming episode reads, "The security breach at the Embassy results in far reaching consequences."

As per the trailer of "13 Hours in Islamabad", Martha Boyd (Laila Robins)shares an important information with Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) as she informs him about the Embassy breach.

Meanwhile, Broadway actress Victoria Clark is expected to join the cast list of "Homeland" season 4 when the show returns on Showtime with its next episode. She will portray Carrie Mathison's mother in the American political drama, reported Christian Today.

However, the viewers will have to watch "Homeland" season 4 episode 10 to know more about Clark's role in the political drama. The Show will be aired on 7 December at 9 pm.
