Teen sensation Saurabh Chaudhary has won India's third gold in the ongoing 2018 Asian Games after he finished first in the men's 10m air pistol event. This was India's third gold medal in the Games after Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat received gold medals in freestyle wrestling.

The 16-year-old teenager reached the final of a senior event for the first time and finished with an Asian Games record score of 240.7, defeating Japanese shooter Tomoyuki Matsuda by one point.

Chaudhary also won gold at the ISSF Junior World Cup in March when he scored 243.7, breaking the world junior record.

Meanwhile, 29-year-old Abhishek Verma won bronze at the Asian Games in the same event, with a score of 219.3.
