After months of rumours and speculations, Hero MotoCorp is set to launch its new motorcycle Splendor iSmart 110 in India on July 14. The company has started sending invites for an event on Thursday, July 14. Although the invite does not mention which of the models that have been rumoured is coming out of the blocks in July, it does throw a hint that it is an iSmart.

Hero, which showcased the Splendor iSmart 110 at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, has already started dispatching the new bike to its respective dealerships across the country. Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is the first bike made in-house by the company.

Powering the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is an air cooled single cylinder 4-stroke 110cc engine. The engine, which can churn out 8.9bhp at 7,500rpm and 9Nm at 5,500rpm, comes mated to a four-speed gear box.

Hero is expected to price the Splendor iSmart 110 at Rs. 51,500 and the bike is expected to rival TVS Victor 110, Yamaha Saluto RX as well as the Honda Livo.

Hero is expected to launch the Splendor iSmart 110 in both monotone and dual-tone colours. It is expected to return high fuel efficiency and will come with the company's i3S technology. Hero's two completely in-house developed scooters, Maestro Edge and Duet, had made their market entry last year.
