The shooting of Vijay-Chimbudevan's upcoming film is progressing, with the team having shot a grand song at a palace set on the outskirts of Chennai.

Apart from the Ilayathalapathy, "Vijay 58" boasts a huge star cast of Sridevi, Sudeep, Hansika and Shruti Haasan.

The latest we hear is that the team will have five costume designers including Mani Malhotra, Deepali Noor, Chaitanya Rao, Siva and Sai, as per a Sify report.

The team has also reportedly roped in four stunt choreographers including Dilip Subbarayan ("Aaranya Kaandam"), Sang Lin ("Transporter"), Sunil Rodrigues ("Happy New Year") and Pradit Seeluem (The Lost Medallion). They will be choreographing six high-powered stunt sequences in the film, reported OnlyKollywood.

The project is jointly produced by PT Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameens Films reportedly with a budget of around ₹80 crore, though there is no official confirmation in this regard. According to latest reports, the film's distribution rights have been sold for four key areas even before the film's shooting is completed.

Directed by Chimbudevan, "Vijay 58" is touted to be a fantasy-based entertainer. Hansika plays the princess, while Sridevi appears as her mother and Sudeep as the commander of their kingdom. Details about Vijay and Shruti Haasan's roles have not been revealed.

Devi Sri Prasad is composing the songs, while cinematography is being handled by Natraj of "Sathuranga Vettai" fame.

"Vijay 58" will reportedly be shot in unseen locations across India. It is expected to hit the screens for Diwali 2015, but there is no official word in this regard.

There are huge expectations for "Vijay 58" as the actor's Diwali release "Kaththi" has turned out to be a huge hit at the box office and has surpassed the ₹100 crore mark.
