While Vijay starrer "Kaththi" is still creating waves at the box office, his next movie has already caught the eyes of moviegoers.

Rumour had it that actor Sudeep will be seen in the role of Vijay's brother in his 58th movie. But the Kannada superstar has said that he is not playing the role of Ilayathalapathy's sibling, but has been roped in to play yesteryear actress Sridevi Kapoor's son.

Sudeep has said that Sridevi plays the queen of a kingdom and he plays her commander son, the antagonist in the Tamil movie. "My role is that of the antagonist. It is a fantasy film and Sridvei plays the queen of a kingdom. I play the role who is the commander of this kingdom," Kiccha told the Bangalore Mirror.

In the film, Sudeep does not play a typically negative role, but the character is said to have both good and bad shades. "If it was just a negative character, I would not have been approached," he added.

The Kannada actor says that he was not sure of taking "Vijay 58' due to date issues but the makers of the film wanted him and waited for his approval for two months. Hence, he accepted the Tamil movie.

Sudeep is excited to be working with Vijay, Sridevi and Chimbudevan, who according to the Kannada actor, is a fantastic technician. Kiccha, who is getting ready for the release of his forthcoming Sandalwood movie "Ranna", will be joining the shoots on 14 November. The filming kick started on Monday in Chennai.

"Vijay 58" is produced by PT Selva Kumar and Shibu of Thameens films. Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani are playing the female lead roles in the Tamil film and Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for the fantasy-adventure drama. The movie will appear before the audience next summer.
